Absolute Platform 

I was using a MK 1 Matrix Platform but the Absolute Carbon was about 3 mm too wide. It was also very cumbersome to carry around.

I've bought 2 shorter legs for the back as the standard left leg is long and hits the side tray when not extended.

The new Preston Innovations Absolute Platform is perfect. It is compact and doesn't take up much space in the car.

It gives an extremely stable platform to fish from. One of the best Preston products.

I have put the platform together and found it to be extremely stable. There is one thing you need to do though - the thread ends on the hand-wheels used to tighten down on the joining bars need to be filed flat - otherwise they dig into and damage the aluminium. 

Lightly file down the end of the thread to stop it digging into and destroying the aluminium bar.
